Joshua Oomens is raising money for Watford & Three Rivers Refugee Partnership

First-time Skydive in North London

We exist to help refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants. We offer casework, legal aid, English classes, and access to essentials. We provide practical and emotional support, run a weekly drop-in advice centre, and provide a social hub where they can meet others on a similar path.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi, I'm Josh. My two friends, Joe, Mikali and I are skydiving on the 18th of July, not for the thrill of the jump but because we are seeking to raise funds and awareness for the Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Partnership, a registered charity operating just north of London, England. I have been volunteering here for about a year now, and the impact I've seen from this tremendous organisation is truly inspiring.

We are a support service for refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. We offer a range of services to our clients experiencing severe challenges that many people are unaware of. Services like the Social-Hub, which allows our clients to socialise, participate in activities, and access donated items like books, toiletries, nappies, and sanitary products. Our free English classes, called ESOL which allow clients to improve English language skills. Supporting young people through sports and social events. We also provide a weekly opportunity for clients to see one of our volunteers or our on-site caseworkers. Through trust and the building of friendship, we listen to our clients' needs and worries and give them practical advice to help them as much as possible.

These are only a few ways we at WTRRP help support our fellow community members who are doing it tough, this is why my two friends and I, Joe and Miklai, are raising money by skydiving on the 18th July this year. We know times are tough, so any help is much appreciated, and if you can't donate, please think about ways you can support people in your community who are refugees or seeking asylum.

Thank you, and make sure to look up on the 18th!
