Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon 24 · 13 July 2024

We are raising money to support the families of police officers and staff who have died whilst serving for the police force.

Story

Early this year whilst overly caffeinated or after eating too many blue smarties, I decided to sign up for the Yr Wyddfa 24hr ultramarathon in mid-July for the Doyle Phillips Foundation.

The Doyle Phillips Foundation was set up as a lasting legacy to remember both PC Neil Doyle and PC Dave Phillips of Merseyside Police who lost their lives whilst on duty. Their aim is to offer support for families of officers and staff who have died through natural causes or tragic circumstances whist serving for Merseyside Police.

The race takes place on the Llanberis trail up and down Snowdon with the goal of going up and down as many times as possible within those 24hrs.

I’ll be aiming for between 6 summits, the equivalent of climbing Kilimanjaro and 8 summits, the equivalent of Annapurna.
