Story
This year, I’ve set myself the challenge to run 5,656 km — one kilometre for every registered suicide in England 2023. I decided to take this on after losing a friend I grew up with to suicide.
It hit hard, and it made me realise how many people are struggling in silence. Running has always been a way for me to clear my head, so this challenge felt like the right way for me to try and make a difference.
Suicide touches so many lives, yet it’s still something that’s often hard to talk about. If this challenge can start even a few honest conversations, raise some money for a great cause, and maybe help someone feel a little less alone — then it’s worth every kilometre.
If you’ve taken the time to read this, share it, or donate — thank you. It really means a lot. Your support helps keep me going and helps make a real difference for those who need it most.
This run is for my friend, for everyone we’ve lost, and for everyone still fighting.
