Story
In January 2026, my family and I lost my wonderful mum to Guillain‑Barré syndrome. Until this happened to us, we had never even heard of the condition. It is a rare neurological illness that can develop rapidly and have devastating effects.
To honour my mum’s memory, I’ll be running the Lochness marathon on the 27th September 2026.
I will be raising money for Inflammatory Neuropathy UK. This charity provides support, information, and advocacy for people affected by inflammatory neuropathies, including Guillain-Barré syndrome.
If you are able to donate, it would mean the world to me and my family. Your support will help raise awareness and provide help to others going through similar experiences.
