Great North Run 2025 · 7 September 2025 ·

Tommy's funds medical research into the causes of premature birth, stillbirth and miscarriage. We’re dedicated to finding causes and treatments to save babies’ lives as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support.

Story

I’m running the great north run in September, in aid of Tommy’s Charity. This charity is special to me, as very close family members and friends have recently suffered sudden miscarriages at different stages of their pregnancy. This charity use their donations to invest in research of stillbirths, miscarriages and premature births to hopefully save future babies’ lives.

I’m also running in memory of Simon King, my father in law who recently passed away. When Simon died, we found out he was a organ donor and opted to donate his kidneys to save 2 separate people’s lives. So another charity I want to raise some awareness for are ‘Live Life Give Life’ so anything I raise over the £300 target I will split 50/50 between the two charities fairly.

If you can support me please do as your donations will be greatly appreciated.
