Story
I am excited to say that I will be running the 2024 London Marathon with Mind. I am running the marathon in memory of my best friend, Ann Sophie, who we lost last March.
Ann Sophie's struggle with mental health was brief and intense, with her death never being a situation I ever thought would happen. Therefore, the seriousness of mental health should never ever be doubted.
A social butterfly, Ann Sophie touched the lives of so many. Her charisma, enthusiasm, and her trusting and caring nature are hugely missed. Everyone deserves to live a happy life, and thanks to charities like Mind, more people will be able to do so.
Mind provide reliable information and work hard to support as many people experiencing mental health problems through their online and face-to-face services. Through their national presence they are vital in empowering people in understanding their mental health and reduce the stigma of reaching out.
I really hope to raise as much money as possible in Ann Sophie's honour and to reduce the number of people affected by suicide. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
