I am raising money for this association because it is really close to my heart. I’ve seen what mental illness can do to people sadly and wish they would have known that they have family, friends, resources and etc to reach out to. I personally have depression and I have learned that it is something you should never hide and that you need to reach out to people when you are in distress. I want people to know that whatever mental illnesses you are going through is nothing to be ashamed of and to reach out when you are in need. I don’t ever want people to think that they need to suffer alone through mental illnesses because you are loved and you are not alone. I really wanted to donate because of Zachary Snowdon and Tessa Tolley. They were both amazing young people, I wish both of them would have reached out to people and resources because they had so many people in their lives that cared and loved them so much. I think about them often and the memories I was lucky to share with them.
