Story
I will be 80 years young on 14th October 2026, a milestone I never thought I would achieve after having a stroke in May 2018. The stroke left me with certain disabilities which meant that I couldn’t continue with my previous lifestyle which included playing golf and badminton. However I am still here and currently I am able to live independently.
However when I was recently in Scotland visiting friends they were asking what I would like as a birthday present. I had already thought that I would prefer for friends and family to donate to The Stroke Association if so desired as they were a great source of comfort to me in the early days. My Scottish friends suggested setting up a just giving page, therefore this is what I have done with the assistance of my son, James.
Thank you in advance. Love Joy xx
