As I prepare to launch my new book, I am reminded of the families who are facing a much greater challenge - having a child in the hospital. My family and I are very fortunate that we are able to tell our story in a positive light and offer hope to many families. That's why I am fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charities, an organization that provides free 'home away from home' accommodation to families with children in the hospital. These Houses offer more than just a place to stay; they provide support, respite, and activities for families during an incredibly difficult time. With reduced emotional and financial strain, families can be by their child's bedside in moments. Last year alone, Ronald McDonald House Charities helped over 6,000 families.
