A group of us (John, Amy, Joyce, Malcolm, Juliet, Patrick, Jayne, Eddie, Carol and Grant) are undertaking the Moonlight walk in September in aid of St Leonard’s Hospice. This is in memory of our lovely friend, mum, grandma and wife - Karen. The Hospice at home team were a great support to Karen and the family when she was ill.

St Leonard’s Hospice provides care and support for people with life limiting illnesses and their families when they need it most, and we’ve been doing it for 40 years. Our patients’ needs are our priority, and our care is designed to make the best of their lives. We provide care at our Hospice, in patients’ homes, and in our community.

We provide care for free, but it’s not free to provide. It costs £7.9 million a year, and just a quarter of that comes from the government. We rely on the generosity of our community for the rest. Your donation means we can be here to help more people in York and surrounding areas when they need us most.
