At 4 weeks old, we received the news that our daughter had a suspicious heart murmur and needed referred to cardiology. At 12 weeks old we found out that our daughter had a mild CHD. We didn't know what way this would go, if it would resolve or require lifelong monitoring, we didn't know how this would affect her but we hoped as she grew that her heart would do what it needed to do. She was discharged at 14 months old and the whole experience truly opened our eyes to the CHD world and we wanted to give back to the charity and families that supported us on our journey. Our cardiology journey may have ended, but our mission to raise awareness and money to support other families has not ended!

Every year in the UK, 1 in every 100 babies is born with a serious heart condition. For families, that diagnosis can change everything in an instant. This October, I’m taking on The 100 Challenge to help Tiny Tickers give babies with congenital heart disease the best possible start in life.
