Story
I’m raising money for Ronald McDonald House Charities, an organisation that supported my wife and her family during one of the most difficult times of their lives.
In 2005, my wife’s sister was being treated at King’s College Hospital for a brain tumour. She was just two years old. During that time, Ronald McDonald House provided a place for the family to stay close to the hospital — something that made an unimaginable situation just a little more bearable.
Having somewhere safe, warm, and close meant the family could focus on what truly mattered: being together and being there for her. It removed a huge amount of financial pressure and emotional stress at a time when every bit of support counted.
Sadly, my wife’s sister passed the following year. But the kindness and support shown by Ronald McDonald House has never been forgotten. What they did didn’t change the outcome — but it changed the experience. And that matters more than people often realise.
By donating, you’re helping families stay close to their children when they need it most — without worrying about accommodation, travel costs, or where they’ll sleep that night.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for any support you’re able to give.
