Story

Thankyou for reading and taking the time to visit my JustGiving page,

Another year on. Charity Challenge 2025 is coming through thick and fast. In 2024 I took the "Run The Date" challenge to raise funds for the local charity BFS (Bosom Family Support). This challenge entailed me running the kilometres equivalent to the date throughout the month of December (including 25km on Christmas day). To spice things up at the end I ran a 50km Ultramarathon on New Years Eve. All in all clocking just under 600 kilometres across the month.

BFS is a local charity that does some seriously good work helping those affected by cancer (c*****). They are a group of fighters, survivors and supporters offering advice, counselling, activities and other services to support individuals and families in the Northern Lincolnshire area affected by cancer. Across the years they have supported people I know, and in particular my family and more specifically my Mum. With that being said I want to do my best to give a bit back.

But, why now? Why this? I saw the impact last years challenge had on the charity and what the work did for other people. Growing up, in my early teens my Mum had it, my late teens my Mums Mum had it, we then sadly lost my Dads Dad to it, before recently losing Grandy (Sandra Taylor) my Dads Mum on Christmas day. Being that bit older I saw the impact it had on not just me but everyone that I am surrounded by.

Seeing how much last years challenge did for BFS. If that money is helping even 1 person in the battle then I will continue to do everything I can my end to support that.

Any support, shares, reposts, likes, comments are all so appreciated. Any spare change for donations it goes without saying means alot.

Thankyou,

JT
