James Tuckwell’s Three Peaks Challenge for The Nest Farms

James Tuckwell is raising money for The Nest Farms

Three Peaks Challenge · 19 June 2026

At The Nest we offer day placements to teenagers and young adults, helping them to grow, build resilience, and understand themselves a little better, all with the help of a small farm.

Story

On the 20th June I'll be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The NEST Farms.

Before we even begin, our team will be camping at the foot of Ben Nevis, ready for an early start and a long 24 hours ahead. We'll then attempt to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, covering 23 miles and more than 3,000 metres of ascent.

I'm taking on this challenge to support the incredible work that The NEST Farms does with young people facing mental health challenges. At a time when so many young people are struggling with anxiety, confidence and wellbeing, The NEST Farms provides a safe and supportive environment where they can build resilience, develop new skills and rediscover belief in themselves.

As a father of three, I know how important it is that young people have the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to thrive. The work The NEST Farms does can be truly life-changing, helping young people find confidence, purpose and hope for the future.

The Three Peaks Challenge will undoubtedly test our determination, endurance and teamwork, but that challenge is temporary. The young people supported by The NEST Farms often face much greater challenges every day.

If this challenge can help raise awareness and funds to support their work, every step, every blister and every sleepless hour will be worthwhile.

Any donation, no matter how large or small, would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you for your support.
