Five of us (Karina, Denis, Grace, Paddy and Russell) are taking part in the Belfast City Half Marathon in September to raise funds for the Alder Hey Children's Charity, with all money raised going to the craniofacial and orthotics departments. Our son Jude was diagnosed with Craniosynostosis shortly after birth in June 2023. He underwent surgery at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in October 2023 and is wearing a helmet 23 hours per day for a year as part of his follow-on treatment. We are over in Liverpool from Belfast every month for appointments and Jude is recovering well and receiving excellent care from the staff at Alder Hey. We'd love to be able to raise funds to support the work of the Alder Hey Children's Charity and help families who are in a similar position. Many thanks.
