Story

Hi, my name is Jude and I work within the NHS in dementia research, contributing to both observational and drug trials aimed at improving the lives of people living with cognitive disorders.
My interest in dementia is not just professional — it’s personal. Having experienced dementia within my own family, and working closely with patients and their loved ones, I’ve seen first-hand the complexity, unpredictability and emotional toll these conditions bring.
This is why I’m taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge.
I’ll be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 48 hours to raise funds for the Lewy Body Society — a charity dedicated to supporting research into Lewy body dementia and raising awareness of a condition that is still widely misunderstood.
Lewy body dementia is often misdiagnosed, shares symptoms with both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, and can involve hallucinations, cognitive decline and movement difficulties. Despite being one of the most common forms of dementia, awareness remains low.
Every donation will go directly to the Lewy Body Society to support research, improve diagnosis, and help families navigating this condition.
My goal is to raise £1,000. Every single pound will go directly to the Lewy Body Society. If you’re able to contribute, thank you. If not, sharing the page helps more than you know.
I’ll be posting training updates and educational snippets about Lewy body dementia in the lead-up to the challenge.
Let’s raise awareness and make a difference.
