Judy's fundraiser for Aberdeen Samaritans

Judy Farquharson is raising money for Aberdeen Samaritans

Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2025 · 1 June 2025 ·

We’re here for anyone who’s struggling to cope, who needs someone to listen without judgement or pressure. In prisons, schools, hospitals and on the rail network, Samaritans are working with people who are going through a difficult time. Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m taking part in The Kilt Walk on Sunday 1st June, walking 18 miles from Banchory to Aberdeen to raise funds for Aberdeen Samaritans, the charity I’ve been volunteering for over the last 4 years.

Samaritans throughout the UK provide a 24/7 listening ear for those struggling to cope and in times of crisis, as well as supporting numerous outreach projects for sectors of our local community in most need. Volunteers answer a call for help every 10 seconds- so by donating you will help continue our essential work.

Every little bit helps, but please don’t feel obliged - even raising awareness of the work Samaritans do is important, so thank you for taking time to read my page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Off to get my boots on and get the Compeed out!
