Story
As I have just got back into running again, I have decided to set myself a small goal - whilst dressed as Santa - to run on behalf of the Lewis foundation! This is a charity who provides care packs to patients diagnosed with cancer receiving treatment in hospital. I have decided to fundraise for this charity as over the past few months, I’ve learnt of a few people close to me being diagnosed with cancer! So it is a topic close to home that I’d love to help raise funds for.
Our charity The Lewis Foundation would love if you could take part in the Northampton Rotary Charity Santa Fun Run on Sunday 7th December to raise funds for our free gift packs and support for adult cancer patients in hospital.
About The Lewis Foundation
At The Lewis Foundation we source, package and hand deliver gift packs for free to adult cancer patients in hospitals in the Midlands and the community weekly. These are items that patients might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford – and that brings people happiness and comfort at a difficult time. For many people in hospital and the community, our volunteers are their only regular visitors.
One gift pack costs £3.60. A really simple way to make a huge impact.
