Julia's fundraiser for The Limbless Association

Julia Buckler is raising money for The Limbless Association

O2 Climb · 2 October 2026

We understand that navigating the complexities of limb loss and limb difference can be completely overwhelming. We provide excellent, FREE, accessible information and advice to empower all amputees and those with limb difference, and families and friends, to lead independent and fulfilled lives.

Story

I am climbing the O2!

Very excited and extremely nervous as I hate heights, but I want to prove to myself that I can do it. As an amputee, I've spent much of my life adapting to challenges that I never expected to face. Over the years, I've learned that confidence isn't about never being afraid, it's about doing things despite the fear.

This challenge is definitely outside my comfort zone. If I'm honest, it's not the climb itself that worries me, it's being so high up! But I've learned that the things that make us nervous are often the things that help us grow. I'm taking on the climb to raise money for a cause that is close to my heart and to show myself that fear doesn't get the final say.

If you'd like to support me, I'd be incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Your support will help motivate me as I take those steps to the top and, hopefully, remember to look at the view rather than my feet!

Thank you for your encouragement and support. Now I just need to make it to the summit!
