Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

In June, 16 of my Igne colleagues will be participating in the 24-hour 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. This is no mean feat, neither is organising it, which is where I come in! But as well as helping them with the planning and logistics, I also feel that I should do something to help raise funds to get us to the £13,000 target that we have set ourselves.

So I have decided that on 21 June (the day they embark on their epic challenge), I will walk from home to the office, a distance of approx 9 miles. Of course this is by no means on the same scale as what the group is undertaking, but it is a personal challenge to me that I hope you will support. No amount is too small so if you would like to donate to this very worthy cause, please do so by clicking on the Team Just Giving fundraising page below. I think we all know someone who knows a family or individual that has been afflicted by this terrible condition.

We are fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help usfund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
