Trekking in South Africa
This year, I have chosen to say YES to an adventure that will test every part of me — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
In November 2025, I’ll be trekking 100 kilometres through South Africa’s wild and majestic Drakensberg Mountains with an extraordinary team of women from around the world. For six days, we will push through steep climbs, high altitudes, and rugged terrain. But we’re not doing this for the thrill. We’re doing it for something far greater.
We are raising funds for The Black Mambas, the world’s first all-female anti-poaching unit. These women are not armed with weapons — they are armed with training, resilience, and unwavering courage. They patrol vast conservation areas, protect endangered wildlife, and serve as powerful role models in their communities. They are proof that real change happens when women lead.
Our goal is to raise USD 50,000 to support their work, via the charity Helping Rhinos, which drives sustainable conservation through community-based solutions.
I believe deeply in this mission. It speaks to everything I stand for: courage, leadership, connection to nature, and protecting what cannot protect itself.
Your support — no matter the amount — will help us fund equipment, training, and outreach programs that strengthen the Black Mambas’ impact and preserve South Africa’s biodiversity.
🙏 I invite you to walk this journey with me — one step, one donation, one powerful ripple at a time.
Thank you for believing in this cause.
With gratitude,
Julia
