Story
Dear friends,
I am deeply touched and truly honoured to be taking part in a very special fundraiser for the charity that my husband Jamie founded when our son was diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening disease - one for which, to this day, there is still no cure; Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
Jamie searched tirelessly to save Archie’s life, and thanks to the incredible team at Great Ormond Street Hospital, we were fortunate to find a way for him to live day-to-day with the disease. Alongside this, Jamie founded The Dinosaur Trust*, and together we have raised over £1.5 million to fund vital research aimed at finding a cure.
Thanks to the doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital Archie remains a pioneering case - following a ground breaking operation - and is now the first long-term survivor in the UK of this highly aggressive and debilitating condition.

There has been meaningful progress, and the teams at UCL and Great Ormond Street continue to rely on funding and support to accelerate their work toward a cure.
After Jamie passed away last year, his close friends decided to organise a race around the island of Ibiza, where we live, in his honour and to raise further funds for The Dinosaur Trust.
I will be joining them for a four-day challenge, walking, cycling, and kayaking around this beautiful island. It will be physically and mentally demanding - just the kind of challenge Jamie would have embraced, and a powerful way to reconnect with his energy, his determination to make a difference, and his extraordinary dedication to the trust.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference in helping to find a cure for Archie, and for all the children and adults who are living with this devastating disease.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for any support you can give - for this cause, for The Dinosaur Trust, and for all those bravely fighting this illness.
With all my love, Julia

* The Dinosaur Trust funds high-impact research into Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, working with leading institutions including Great Ormond Street Hospital in London and the Heart & Lung Research Institute in Cambridge. Through this research work, the Trust seeks to improve and save the lives of children and adults affected by pulmonary hypertension, accelerating the development of new treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
The Trust takes its name from a Dinosaur drawn by our son Archie, after he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension at a young age. The drawing raised a significant sum of money at the inaugural fundraiser in 2013 and so the name of the charity was born.
Since then, The Dinosaur Trust has raised over £1.5 million to fund research and find a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension.
