Story

What is Source to Sea 2025?

A non-stop team relay race along the full length of the Thames Path. The idea was generated in a pub back in 2015, and since then it has been attempted (and completed!) a handful of times. Each runner runs around 50km, equal to roughly 25% further than a marathon.

How far is it?

The Thames Path is 295km long and follows the route of the River Thames from its source near Cirencester to the Sea (Thames Barrier). The route takes you across almost the full width of England, through some of the most beautiful countryside and almost entirely on footpaths and away from roads. Because of running two runners overnight for safety, the total distance for each team to run is approximately 350km.

Why do it?

Source to Sea 2025 is a truly unique physical, mental, and logistical challenge. Beyond seriously testing out physical and mental fitness, it also serves as a high profile and fun way to raise money for a very worthwhile charity.

Who are we raising funds for?
