Story

Bangkok to Saigon’, Andrew Crompton will be leading a team of cyclists with a wide range of cycling experience across Southeast Asia on a 650-mile, 14-day ride in 35 degree heat to raise vital funds for BLGC.

Funds are desperately needed to support, maintain, and grow mental health and wellbeing programmes for local children and young people, within the Bolton and Greater Manchester community. BLGC supports thousands of young people every day through their free open access youth club offer and specialised targeted youth services.

1 in 5 young people in the UK are experiencing mental health battles – right now. BLGC are currently inundated with young person’s referrals for their mental health services. The demand is currently outweighing the resources and their aspirations due to the local need is to grow and develop these vital services. The team of cyclist will not only be taking on a huge challenge but also helping to support the mental challenges young people are facing!
