Story
Ten years ago, my friend Mark set out to ride from London to Paris for charity.
During a training ride, he suffered a catastrophic accident that left him with severe brain injuries.
He never recovered.
Mark spent nearly 10 years in a vegetative state, before sadly passing away last year.
This June, I’ll be riding from London to Paris - finishing the journey he never got to complete.
This ride is for Mark.
We’re raising money for the Air Ambulance - the team who respond in those critical moments when it matters most.
What happened to Mark is exactly why this service exists.
If you can support in any way, it genuinely means a lot.
Mark wasn’t just someone I knew - he was a great old friend.
This ride is personal.
It’s about honouring him, remembering him, and doing something he should have been able to finish himself.
I’ll be training, pushing myself, and thinking about him every mile of the way.
