Story
Hello you,
We have some exciting news, but first let us give you a quick introduction.
Tanzania Charity was founded by Juliana's grandparents 31 years ago. The charity mainly works on supporting children's education and fund targeted projects to support education in the community.
We (Juliana and Kim) met at university in 2020, and since then we've been best friends — and for a while now we've been talking about starting a project for Tanzania Charity. We didn't just want to do any old project, it had to have impact, and needed to be something young people don't currently have access to. That's why we've decided to host a project at a local secondary school based around:
● Gender-Based Violence: awareness, prevention and referral pathways
● Adolescent Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights : rights-based, age-appropriate content
● Menstrual Health & Hygiene: knowledge and practical hygiene management
● Youth Empowerment & Mindset Growth: leadership, innovation, and practical life skills
To work on a scope like this, we have to partner with a local charity approved by the government: Afya Plus Tanzania.
Your donation will directly cover:
Payment for the project to our local partner charity
Fair pay for the local teachers delivering the sessions
Sanitary products for girls, so no one misses out on learning because of their period
By donating, you're supporting children aged 12–16. Everyone should have this right, and with this project we're taking a step forward to make it happen.
If you want to know more, please feel free to drop Juliana a message. ( Whatsapp +974 5993 2476)
And it's not just about the impact on the ground — we'll also be creating a film documenting the project, which you'll get access to with your donation.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for supporting a project that means so much to us.
Much love,
Kim & Juliana
