WARRIORS ROAD TO VALENCIA — FROM WORLD RECORD HOLDER TO WARRIOR FOR MS RESEARCH

One goal: to help #StopMS.

My name is Juliane Keane. I live in Larne, Northern Ireland, and I've been living with multiple sclerosis for 26 years.

In 2025 I set the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon with MS (female) in London.

Although that record has since been broken, the achievement remains an incredibly proud moment in my life and running journey.

In 2026, I was also honoured to receive the Mid and East Antrim Sports Person with a Disability Award.

But my journey is about more than records, awards and race results.

Living with MS has given me a very personal reason to support research into this condition and the search for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

That's why I've launched my Warriors Road to Valencia challenge.

I'm taking on six races across different distances and terrains, starting with the Warriors Run in Sligo and building towards the Valencia Marathon on 6 December 2026.

At the Warriors Run, I achieved my personal goal of winning my veteran category, finishing 22nd female overall in a field of approximately 1,400 finishers.

i've also completed the Glenlough Coastal 5k and Belfast City Half Marathon, Seaton Classic 10k and am continuing my challenge with the GR8 Dundrum Race .

On 6th October, I visited the MS research labs at Queen's University Belfast to learn more about the work being carried out to improve the lives of people living with MS.

The Valencia Marathon will be the culmination of this journey — 26.2 miles, one mile for every year I've lived with MS.

My fundraising target is £3,000, and every donation, no matter how small, will help me get closer to that goal.
