On April 6th, join us in celebrating Tartan Day and make a difference for children with cancer across the world. Whether it's hosting tartan-themed parties, participating in Kiltalks or organising a quiz night, there are countless ways to fundraise.

Story

For Tartan Day on April 6th, 2024, I am fundraising for World Child Cancer to support their mission of ensuring equal access to life-saving treatment, care, and support for every child facing cancer. I believe in their cause because every child deserves a fighting chance against cancer, regardless of where they live or their financial situation. I'm participating in this fundraiser in memory of a viola student of mine, Laurice Shern, who died of cancer before her 20th birthday.

Your donation can make a real difference in the lives of these children and their families. For example, just $25 could pay for essential blood tests for four children with cancer pre-chemotherapy in Cameroon. $45 could provide one room in Kathmandu for a month, ensuring families visiting the hospital with a sick child have somewhere to stay while their child is being treated. Additionally, $195 could help produce a radio campaign aimed at creating awareness of the early warning signs of childhood cancer amongst the public in Ghana.

Together, we can make Tartan Day 2024 one to remember!
