*Update 13.09.25*. I did it! 25km, over seriously uneven terrain, river crossing and relentless wind at the open moor, I did it. We did it - the group of people I walked with were fun and inspiring and new friendships were formed. I feel lucky to have taken part in the event; my sincere thanks again for the donations made.

*Update 10.09.25*. I’ve arrived in Plymouth and will be enjoying a week’s stay here, while incorporating the H4H Dartmoor Hike on the 13th. I’m looking forward to a few short training walks in the run up to Saturday, and last weekend, I completed a 24km ‘full kit’ training walk. I feel confident, excited and am so very grateful for all the donations that have been coming through on this Just Giving page. It means a great deal to me but, most importantly, to the Veterans and their families. Here’s to Saturday!

The two week countdown to this amazing event, started on Saturday 30th August. I have been training for the past six weeks, in readiness for Saturday 13th September, and cannot wait to be part of it. The training itself, has been really inspiring and I've met some very interesting people (and seen some wonderful sights... although the New Forest bike ride wasn't my finest hour) along the way. I am sure that the atmosphere on Dartmoor is going to be electric, made even more powerful by the knowledge that we are all raising awareness and funds for such an incredibly important organisation - Help for Heroes.
