Friends of Saxton School ( FOSS ) raise money to support and advance the welfare and education of the pupils at Saxton Primary School

Story

Calling all dreamers, believers, and magic makers – we’re raising money for vital projects at our unique and special school. Can you please support us?

The children at Saxton school are taking part in the happiest, most colourful 1km-3km run, jog or walk around Saxton (accompanied by parents). Where kids get to be covered in colourful paint from head to toe at multiple colour stations on the route.

About our little village school:

Saxton C of E Primary School is a small village school, with approximately 50 pupils.

It’s uniquely small size enables children to feel loved, nurtured and part of an extended family. The school itself is very community focussed and this community spirit is something which the children live, breathe and experience on a daily basis.

Being so small has both advantages and disadvantages. Running a school costs A LOT of money and sadly, schools don’t get much investment these days. It’s a sad truth that in the current climate, many schools rely on fundraising in order to offer their pupils enhanced resources/ experiences, all of which are vital to help enrich the school environment for our children.

It's the little things that make a big difference.

This was, in essence, why ‘The Friends of Saxton School’ (FOSS) was set up.

It is made up of a dedicated, but very small group of parents whose children attend the school.

We're a friendly, if slightly bonkers, team of people who donate our time and energy to raise funds for the little things that make a big difference.

These vital funds enable us to provide additional study materials, resources, and essential school equipment to help enhance our children’s education and experiences of school.

This year we are embarking on a new charity challenge, in a bid to put the ‘FUN’ into Fundraising.

Any support however big or small is much appreciated.
