Story
Walking for those we love.
This August, Julie and Maia will be walking 13 miles and Debbie and I 26 miles on Trek26 – along the beautiful Suffolk Coast in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Between us, we’ll be walking for three incredible men: my father, who we sadly lost to Alzheimer’s; my brother John, who has recently been diagnosed; and Julie’s husband Barry, who is currently living with dementia. Each step we take will be in their honour – and for the countless other families affected by this cruel condition.
It’s estimated that one in three of us will develop dementia in our lifetime. That’s why we’re putting our feet to good use – to raise funds that will power life-changing research, support services, and hope for the future.
The full walk will take around 8–9 hours, but the impact can last far longer – with your help. If you’re able to support us, we’d be so grateful.
Together, let’s walk towards a world without dementia.
