Story
I am taking part in this 26 mile walk in memory of my mum who passed away in 2020. She was diagnosed with dementia after having a stroke back in 2017.
I love the outdoors and love walking but I think the most I have walked is about 12 miles so this is going to be a big challenge for me, especially as it's in Yorkshire ( big hills!) My daughter, Sharn, my nephew, Ben and his partner John are also going to do it with me so I will have someone to carry me if my feet get sore ( only joking ). We will be able to give each other some moral support when things get tough and the hills look too big. Please if you are able to donate even a few pounds, it will go to a worthy cause and I thank you in advance for donating.
Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today and by providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.
Thank you for choosing to trek for Alzheimer's Society, together we can be help and hope to everyone affected by dementia.
