Hi my name is Julie, l am taking part in a 4 hour spinnathon to support a charity close to my heart.

As most of my friends and family know l had a tumour on my pituitary gland and l underwent brain surgery in June 2021 to have it removed. After they thankfully removed all the tumour, l was left with many pituitary issues which have changed my life.

I have Diabetes Insipidus (not the same as Diabetes Mellitus which is to do with blood sugar), for which I have to take medication every day.

I have Adrenal Insufficiency, and so l am dependent on taking steroid medication. Without this medication I would just die.

I’ve had a lot of support from the Christopher Lane Trust, from them just being on the end of the phone for support, to also helping me financially with private consultations with endocrinologists, blood tests, and funds towards B12 injections. We have found out l have other conditions that have been missed by my own endocrinologist and at times they have saved my life!

They are not a big charity and l would like to support them as much as I can.

Please would you consider supporting me so I can support them because l am sure l wouldn’t have coped without them and they are still supporting me to this day - we have a long journey to go still.
