A safe and secure home is a human right. Yet, every day millions of people are being devastated by the housing emergency. Our team of Bristol Bridge Walkers are joining the fight to defend the right to a safe home. Because home is everything.

Story

As you know, I work for an amazing charity called Shelter.

The housing crisis is a national emergency. Right now, thousands of people are trying to get by without a safe place to call home.

In Bristol the estimated total number of people who are homeless is 3,224 and 1,478 children are growing up in temporary accommodation.

At Shelter Bristol, we provide face to face advice for people experiencing housing issues and homelessness, legal services, and campaign for better housing rights. We continue to work hard to change the system and fight for a fairer future of housing.

That's why Andy and I am taking part in the Walk for Home - Bristol Bridges this June.

Shelter believe that a safe home is a fundamental need and basic moral right. Our legendary fundraisers who are taking on the Walk for Home - Bristol Bridges this June and joining the fight for home by fundraising to support families and individuals facing homelessness.
