It seems that giving my 9-5 wasn't enough - I've just signed up to run the Great Manchester Run for UK-Med, eek!

When disasters and crises hit, people are left in need of healthcare. Wounds need to be treated. Grannies need their medication. Babies continue to be born.

But if a hurricane took the roof off the health centre, or a hospital has been bombed, or a disease outbreak has brought in huge numbers of patients, health services get overwhelmed.

When that happens, we get expert health staff to where they’re needed fast.​

We treat patients, provide additional training to local medics and make sure everyone gets the help they need.

In 2025 we helped over half a million people, and we are all set to do it again - wherever and whenever we are needed, we will answer the call. You can help us do it.
