Story
We all hope that we would never need to call upon charities such as the Air Ambulance to get us out of trouble in those moments of helplessness. It costs an average of £3000 for every mission and all of which rely on the fundraising to provide this service.
We are undertaking the mammoth ‘National 3 Peaks Challenge’ this July starting at Ben Nevis, Scotland, onto the Lake District to climb Scafell Pike, then to North Wales to summit Mount Snowdon before the end of the 24 hours, in memory of friend, mum and wife Sarah Cox.
After a long battle with breast cancer, Sarah had an adverse effect from treatment and unfortunately ended up in cardiac arrest, leaving behind her husband and two boys. The air ambulance was there for her, although not needed in the end, we will never know when a family member or ourselves may need them.
This is going to be such a tough challenge for us all but all for an amazing cause.
