Story
On Sunday 8 March, our team of mixed ages and abilities will be taking on a 36 mile walking challenge at Haigh Hall.
Twelve of us are stepping up, including members of our dedicated Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team and our children. This year is extra special as Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals (WHH) Charity celebrate 30 years of supporting patients across Warrington and Halton.
Thanks to the incredible support of WHH Charity, more than £1,000 worth of new exercise equipment has recently been funded for our service. We are now raising money as a thank you and to help the charity continue making a difference for local patients and services.
Our classes run at Orford Jubilee Hub in Warrington and Ditton Community Centre in Widnes, supporting people living with long term respiratory conditions.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a six week exercise and education programme designed to improve quality of life for people with long term lung conditions. Supervised exercise sessions help patients build strength and endurance, directly improving their breathing. Education sessions also give people the knowledge and confidence to manage their condition more effectively.
The impact is life changing. Many patients experience fewer chest infections, improved mobility and greater independence. For some, it means returning to everyday activities that once felt out of reach.
If you are able to donate, you will be helping us say thank you to the charity that supports our patients every day. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us reach our target and continue making a difference in our community.
Thank you so much for your support.
