Story

💛 Marie Curie Twilight Walk – Cave Hill 💛

This past year has reminded me just how precious life is. We’ve said goodbye to too many people affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, while others we love continue to live with the reality of a cancer diagnosis.

On Saturday 26th September at 6.45pm, I’ll be taking part in the Marie Curie Twilight Walk. I’ve chosen to walk up Cave Hill, in memory of Mum / Granny Jan. 🌙💛

So I’m walking to support the incredible work of Marie Curie and to honour those living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

We were so grateful for the amazing Marie Curie nurses who helped Mum spend her final days at home, surrounded by the people and things she loved. We will never forget what that meant to us. 💛

✨ Feel free to donate or, even better, come and join me for the walk up Cave Hill.

Thank you for your kindness and support. It’s about making a life a little easier for those dealing with something so difficult . 💛

Marie Curie nurses, doctors and frontline staff work night and day in our Belfast Hospice and in peoples homes right across Northern Ireland providing expert clinical care for patients and much needed respite, comfort and reassurance for families, carers and loved ones.

The money that is raised helps Marie Curie Nurses provide vital care and support to people with terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.

£23 could pay for one hour of vital nursing care for someone living with a terminal illness in the comfort of their own home

£92 could help fund four hours of nursing care in a person's home when they need it most.
