Sadly my Mum was diagnosed with Dementia in 2019, this followed on from a stroke she had in 2013..Until then she was a healthy, active, fun loving caring lady. Someone I could always go to for advice and a shoulder to cry on. Unfortunately Dementia has changed that and it's hard watching the person you love slowly disappear. It is as they say 'The long goodbye' ..It's a cruel disease that has a devastating impact on the whole family. Dementia UK are there to help give that support when needed, so I want to raise money to help them continue in the brilliant work that they do.. Dementia can happen to anyone at anytime, we don't get a choice... I miss "My Mum" terribly, we just have to laugh when we can, make the best of each day..then have a cry behind closed doors..
