ELHT&Me is the official charity of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, supporting areas of healthcare across our five hospitals and community healthcare services. This includes our acute stroke centre.

Story

ELHT&Me is the official charity of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust and I'm choosing to fundraise in aid of my local NHS hospitals charity for the benefit of Stroke services.

Many of you are aware of Lee having a major stroke in December, after spending several weeks on the stroke ward at RBH, Lee was transferred to Pendle Rehabilitation Centre in Colne, I can't praise the staff enough for the care that Lee received during his time on the ward, each and every staff member are so compassionate, caring and are 100% committed to providing the best care achievable. They not only provided physical support but also emotional support to aid his recovery, and the results are amazing. Lee's care continued when he got home and had the privilege of meeting some amazing people from the community stroke team, they provided not only equipment but, had excellent support from the SALT, OT & PT. All money raised is and will go to five local hospitals within the area in buying equipment etc that is so much needed.

Many of you have already contributed when we said goodbye to Lee, which I am truly thankful for, and I know that Lee would say the same. I have started this page with the £400 that was collected. Please if anyone could just add £1 we would be truly grateful as this is an amazing cause. Thank you in advance for your support x
