Story
We are taking part in a triathlon to raise money for Sistah Space, a vital charity that supports Black African and Caribbean heritage women and girls affected by domestic abuse and other forms of violence. Sistah Space provides culturally appropriate services and advocacy, ensuring that survivors receive the care and understanding they need to rebuild their lives. The charity was founded by Ngozi Fulani in 2015, following the 2014 murder of Valerie Forde and her daughter.
Domestic abuse affects countless lives, but many women from African and Caribbean communities face additional challenges due to systemic barriers and a lack of culturally specific support. Sistah Space bridges this gap, offering a lifeline to women who often have nowhere else to turn. 100% of donations made to Sistah Space directly contributes to providing resources, safe spaces, and essential services for survivors.
