Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

Julie and Helen are friends and colleagues. We thought it would be a great idea to climb Kilimanjaro! 100% of the money raised will go to Dementia UK. The trip is completely self-funded.

Julie's Mum is living with Alzheimer's, and Helen's Dad had it when he passed away. There is no cure at the moment. This trek will help raise some money to support families.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, specialist advice, support and understanding to anyone affected by dementia, whenever it’s needed.

Please contribute to our fundraiser. I am attempting to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro. It is 5,895 m or 19,340 feet in old money!

Thank you.
