Story

Why We’re Taking On the Fan Dance for Simba

We are a team of 44 people from Evolution Fitness in Ystrad Mynach, coming together to take on one of the UK’s toughest endurance challenges — the infamous Fan Dance in the Brecon Beacons.

The Fan Dance is no ordinary walk. It is a gruelling test of physical and mental strength, covering harsh terrain, steep ascents, unpredictable weather and long hours in the mountains. It will push every one of us far beyond our comfort zones — and that’s exactly why we’re doing it.

We are undertaking this challenge to raise money for Simba, a charity that supports families who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby.

At Simba, families who have lost their baby are supported with compassion, care and understanding.

They help grieving parents create precious moments to honour their baby’s memory, offering time, space and love when it is needed most.

Where there is darkness, Simba shines a gentle light.

Baby loss affects more families than many people realise, and the impact can be lifelong. Simba’s work ensures that no family has to face this heartbreak alone.

Every step we take across the Brecon Beacons is in honour of the babies remembered, the families grieving, and the incredible support Simba provides during the darkest of times.

Your donation — no matter how big or small — will help Simba continue their vital work and support families when they need it most.

Thank you for supporting us, and thank you for supporting Simba 🤍
