Story
🧠💙 On 5th August, it’ll be one year since Dad was diagnosed with a Grade 4 terminal brain tumour.
What followed his diagnosis was the most difficult period of his life, undergoing brain surgery while awake, and enduring 3 weeks of intense radiotherapy. Sadly Dad's condition got worse over the next few months.
His final days were spent at Wigan & Leigh Hospice, where the care was nothing short of incredible. We’ll be forever be grateful for the dignity and kindness they gave him — and us.
To give something back, I’m running the Wigan 10K on the 7th September to raise funds for the hospice, who need £12,000 every day to keep going.
I would be incredibly grateful for any support you can offer - whether that be by making a donation, sharing this page, or simply cheering me on. Every pound raised will make a difference to local families during their most difficult times.
