Story
Following our recent completion of the National Three Peaks Challenge, we realized we hadn’t quite had enough of a challenge yet. So, we've decided to seriously level up! We are now taking on the Lake District 100 Kilometer Ultra Challenge.
We’ll be swapping our usual weekend routines for serious blisters, headtorches, and a whole lot of determination to hike 100 kilometers in just 24 hours.
Why are we putting our feet and knees through this ultimate test? Because we are raising vital funds for Soul Sisters, an incredible charity doing life-changing work every single day.
💜 Why Soul Sisters Matters
This cause is incredibly close to our hearts, as our family and friends have been personally affected by domestic violence. We know firsthand the pain it causes, and we also know how vital it is to have the right support to heal.
Domestic violence is a quiet epidemic that affects an astonishing number of lives. The Reality: In the UK alone, 1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime.
The Impact: It shatters confidence, isolates individuals from their loved ones, and impacts the physical and mental well-being of both women and the children who witness it.
Soul Sisters steps into this darkness. They don't just provide a lifeline during a crisis; they are dedicated to empowering women and children to get back on their feet. From emotional support and healing to helping survivors rebuild their independence and confidence, they ensure that a history of abuse does not define a person's future.
🥾 Every Step Counts (And Every Pound Helps!)
We might be doing the heavy lifting (and the heavy sweating) in the Lakes, but we cannot do this alone. We need our own "support crew"—and that’s where you come in.
By donating you are directly helping Soul Sisters provide holistic support, safe spaces, and empowerment programmes for women and children reclaiming their lives.
🙏 A Massive Thank You!
Whether you can spare the cost of a coffee, the price of a pint, or just a massive dose of moral support—thank you. Your generosity is what will keep our legs moving at 3:00 AM when the rain is hitting us sideways and the summit feels miles away.
Please donate whatever you can, share our page, and wish us luck. We're going to need it!
