On Sunday 11th May, I’ll be taking on the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run to raise funds for Kidney Research UK.

Kidney disease affects millions of people in the UK, including children and young people. Many face a lifetime of hospital visits, complex and often burdensome treatments including dialysis, and constant uncertainty.

Kidney disease is a silent killer and a public health emergency. There is still so much we need to learn to improve the lives of those living with chronic kidney disease — especially children and young people.

I am running to support the research that gives these young people hope: for earlier diagnosis, better treatments, and ultimately, hope for a future free from kidney disease.
