Juliette & Benji have been putting their hearts and souls into preparing for the London Royal Parks 1/2 Marathon on 8th October, and we are running for a cause close to our hearts. We need your support to make a real difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ people across England and Wales.

It's been a long five years since the UK Government promised to ban so-called 'conversion therapy,' but today, more than 1.5 million LGBTQ+ people in England and Wales still live under the shadow of this harmful practice. Conversion therapy attempts to 'cure' individuals, wrongly suggesting that there is something to be fixed. We know that this couldn't be further from the truth.

LGBTQ+ people have nothing to be ashamed of, and there is absolutely nothing wrong or broken about who we are. Our sexual orientations and gender identities are diverse and beautiful, deserving of celebration and respect. Yet, incredibly, conversion practices are still legal and still happening within the UK today.

According to the UK Government's own research, a shocking 7% of LGBT people have been offered or undergone conversion therapy. These harmful practices are inflicted upon people in medical, psychiatric, psychological, religious, and cultural settings – places that should be sanctuaries of safety and understanding.

Juliette & Benji have decided to run in support of Stonewall, an organization dedicated to advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and equality. Stonewall is leading the charge in calling on the UK Government to publish a draft Bill to ban conversion therapy as soon as possible, with the final Bill slated for November.
