Story
April 2026, I’ll be running my first ever London Marathon — a dream that’s been years in the making. It’s my hometown race, a distance I’ve never tackled before, and the perfect challenge to push myself physically and mentally.
But this isn’t just about running. I’m doing it to raise money for Unique, a charity that supports families affected by rare chromosome and gene disorders. I first heard about Unique through a colleague whose child lives with a rare condition. Hearing about the incredible support Unique offers — and the impact they have — really stuck with me. They work tirelessly to support families going through unimaginable challenges, and I knew I wanted to do something to help.
In 2025, within 10 weeks I taught myself how to ride a bike and cycled from London to Paris for Unique. Now I’m back on a solo mission — running hundreds of training miles, waking up early, and putting in the work — all to raise funds and awareness for this amazing cause.
Your support truly means a lot. Every donation, big or small, helps Unique continue their vital work for the families who need it most. If you can, please donate — and cheer me on as I take on 26.2 miles for something much bigger than just a race.
Let’s smash the target together.
