Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know, I have been supporting LGBT+ people seeking asylum for three years, providing access to services and healthcare for this group of brave individuals.
Being a gay black man who was lucky enough to ‘come out’ at 15 years old and still be accepted, loved and supported by my Caribbean family - I have always been conscious of the fact that not every LGBT+ person of colour has this experience. In fact, many of them have to flee their own country, their families, friends and entire lives for fear of persecution - or in some cases, even death.
This is why I support African Rainbow Family and the incredible work they do. I’ve heard the stories, I’ve seen the scars, I’ve felt the despair. And I’ve experienced the difference the charity makes, and the hope they provide - so, over the next few months, I will be raising money to enable the charity to continue this life-changing work by providing free executive coaching and workshops across multiple communities, primarily on evenings and weekends.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity - even the smallest amount helps 🙏🏽
