Jupiter Fundraising Run for St Michael's Hospice (Hastings and Rother)

Hastings Half Marathon · 24 March 2024 ·
Jupiter’s Graham Mattison (Construction Director), Will Pearson (Head of Pre Construction) and Andrea Wass (Payroll Manager) are running the 40th Hastings Half Marathon in March in support of St Michael’s Hospice (Hastings & Rother) and in memory of Andrea’s dad, Dave.
St Michael’s gave much needed medical care for Dave before his passing in 2018 and the Hospice and Garden of Remembrance remain a special place for his family. Dave was a keen runner, having run the Hastings Half Marathon himself many times, some alongside Andrea. Having started in 1984, when Andrea was born in the town and with her 40th birthday later in the year, now is most definitely the time give something back. Never to turn down a challenge, or a bit of competition, Graham and Will are also looking forward to the trip to the seaside and will be joining the cause.
The Hospice continues to provide excellent palliative care and support to patients and their families either at their in-patient unit or in the community, but is massively dependent on donations and fundraising to help them survive. It costs £14,400 per day (£5.25m a year) to keep the Hospice open and maintain all of its services, with less than one third of this being provided in grants by the NHS. Graham, Will and Andrea would be hugely grateful if you could donate anything you possibly can, no matter how small, to push them round this tough, hilly course and raise essential funds.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
